Voters across London described crowds at their polling stations and posted photographs of long lines. Few claimed that their ability to vote was affected, but many noted that such waits were unusual in Britain.

The UK, like the US presidential election, relies on an electoral college-type system for electing members of Parliament. Just like in the US, rural areas and places other than the major urban areas are over-represented. Those areas are strongly supportive of Boris Johnson and the Conservatives. Brexit still seems very likely as a result.
