The tariff wars seem ripe for graft grabs by *45

Some kinds of products there’s tariffs, some not. He sees every problem in terms of personal gain already. It would be a shame if something happened to that nice company you’ve got going there m. I have a feeling there’s a lot we’re going to find out about later, God willing.

Pure speculation but why else would he be so focused and persistent?

I'm sure he and his buddies wouldn't capitalize on insider knowledge about tariffs, etc. erronis Dec 2019 #1
I fully understand why China wants zero tariffs on US pork. mwooldri Dec 2019 #2

And I'm sure that he's a stable genius and has the greatest mind. Apparently also the hugest dumps (10 flushes!)

Or any pork for that matter. The Chinese love pork, can't get enough, and the domestic production has been hit by disease. Chinese companies own US pork production (Smithfield for example) so it is in China's best interests to zero rate US pork.

I don't understand why soybeans would be zero rated, but I'm assuming there must be a similar self interest reason for doing so.
