(34,111 posts)he was one of the originals of the New Tek group who invented the Video Toaster software.
I think they are just careless in their habits "knowing" they are going to Be Best.

(10,903 posts)Brad was in his teens when the Video Toaster was developed in the late 80's/early 90's. You might be thinking of Brad Carvey (Dana Carvey's brother) who did help create the Toaster.
But yes, Brad Parscale does have some tech chops. mostly in digital marketing.
MuseRider
(34,111 posts)but I think Brad was somehow involved. I don't know how I made that mistake, been doing that lately. I knew some of those people, not closely but one of them was married to a good friend of mine way back in the early days when it began I lived in Topeka.

(10,903 posts)Brad Carvey had an animation studio in Albuquerque for a while. We hired him to do 3D work on a show open. I flew out to direct, got to hang with them. I also remember meetings with the Video Toaster/Lightwave people at Siggraph during that time.

(34,111 posts)I went to one of their parties, probably around the time Will Wheaton was hanging here (I would have recognized him but did not know at that time that he was around here). I did not recognize anyone else famous but they hung with a pretty impressive bunch. It was a nice party for sure. I was acquainted with Tim Jennison through his wife who was a good friend for a while. It was big stuff but not exactly my interest or my social status nor did I really care about the big stuff but it was fun. I do remember the stories about their time around Dana Carvey and Penn and Teller but I did not know it was Dana's son that was working with them.
They were all nice people but living way above me and I really was out of that loop so my contact was small but it was exciting for sure! I was sad when they moved away.

(1,853 posts)kind of like how in the impeachment hearings the democrats used audio and video clips to bolster their claims and the republicans were over on their side with their home made sharpie-calligraphed poster boards that they kept juggling on easels.
Pathetic, elementary school science fair shit plumb eludes em.

(25,471 posts)I realize that ridiculous hyperbole is kind of PoliticusUSA's thing, but a "sizable number of folks" in one district in OK supporting impeachment is light-years away from "destroying the GOP".
In fact, it's 52/45 against impeachment in that particular district. That proves nothing.
guillaumeb
(42,641 posts)And one might assume, based on this and other polls, that the people have spoken. But 2020 will provide the real test.
TwilightZone
(25,471 posts)It's also still majority anti-impeachment. The author's assertion is ridiculous.

I don't know a Billie.
I grew up in Norman, lived in Sulphur 2 years (lots of Chickasaw there),back to Norman and OU.. then to Tulsa since 1976.

(12,253 posts)Billie Letts pushed back against W, et. al., until she was finally arrested while protesting Cheney's visit. She was fragile but determined. She wrote "Where the Heart Is" and other novels. Marvelous human being.

(19,993 posts)I haven't kept up with polling methodology but these days I don't see how polls could be accurate if they don't call cell phones, and I don't know if they can legally do that because of the charges involved.

(1,702 posts)I only care about what's happening in States with electoral votes that could go against tRUMP. Everything else gives me false sense of "oh great". Just how I'm dealing with every tidbit of supposedly, maybe, could be news from polls. Just sayin..

(42,641 posts)story to show that no matter how much the GOP lies, and FOX repeats those lies, the numbers are moving against Trump. But will that be enough in 2020?
