Can you imagine Trump ...

Delivering a speech that makes sense – or even a short, coherent statement?

Being the adult in the room – even in a roomful of children?

Telling the truth – about anything?

Admitting he was dead wrong – or even slightly mistaken?

Speaking on any topic – that doesn’t include the words ‘me’ or ‘I’?

Talking about a foreign country – and actually knowing where that country is?

Promoting any proposal or initiative – that doesn’t benefit him personally?

Discussing a successful program or legislative act accomplished by others – without taking credit for it himself?

Relying on the counsel of competent and experienced advisors – instead of inept yes-men and vacuous family members?

Surrounding himself with honest brokers – instead of people who wind up indicted and/or in prison?

Seeing people as human beings – and not as animals, drug peddlers, and violent criminals based on their race, religion, or ethnicity?

Thinking of the citizenry in terms of being fellow Americans – and not in terms of Trump loyalists and never-Trumpers?

Treating our allies with respect – instead of insulting and belittling them at every opportunity?.

Interacting with our nation’s adversaries with a sense of caution and wariness – instead of praising them, and doing their bidding without question or hesitation?

Experiencing a single day free of scandal – instead of having to spend every day defending himself against the latest scandal-de-jour?

Having a single moment of self-awareness – instead of indulging in endless hours of self-aggrandizement?

Being a role model for children – instead of locking them in cages, denying them food by cutting-off their families’ access to food stamps, and ignoring their need for a solid education?

Championing the causes of those who are different – the LBGTers, the disabled, the autistic, the physically and mentally challenged – instead of vilifying them, and publicly mocking them?

Seeking to alleviate the suffering of the sick, the homeless, and the down-and-out – instead off labelling them as losers looking for an undeserved handout?

Using the power of his office to benefit his countrymen – instead of using that power to further his own financial enrichment?

Being open and aboveboard about all of his dealings on behalf of the American people – instead of hiding behind bogus claims of ‘executive privilege’ and ‘executive immunity’.

Honouring our war heroes – instead of dismissing their sacrifice as trivial if they ‘got caught and imprisoned’ by our enemies.

Praising the devoted work of career civil servants – instead of declaring them lying, ‘Never-Trumpers” whose only agenda is to bring him down?

Reminding the populace that the CIA, the FBI, and honest journalism contribute to the oversight of our elected representatives – instead of undermining their efforts as being part of a ‘deep state’ effort to thwart our democracy?

Demonstrating his leadership, and innocence of wrongdoing, by fully cooperating with any investigations into his actions – instead of characterizing such investigations as a ‘witch-hunt’ or a ‘hoax’.

Over the course of American history, we have had many presidents – both Democratic and Republican – who can tick-off many, if not most, of the check-boxes above.

We now have a “pResident” who cannot lay claim to doing any of the above – not a single one.

We are no longer dealing with a corrupt “pResident” – we are dealing with the equally-corrupt political party that has lied for him, covered for him, made excuses for him – and is now determined to ignore his obvious crimes.

This is not a Constitutional crisis – because Trump and his GOP enablers have taken the position that the Constitution is no longer operative.

This is a fight for our democracy, our long-held principles as a nation, and who we are as a people.

We will take on this battle – and we will win this war.

Bur more importantly, we will remember those who stood up for our way of life, and those who would rather see it destroyed in order to protect and defend their “pResident”, rather than the Constitution they swore to uphold.

The man does not have even one redeeming quality. He is the embodiment of every loathsome human trait and even some non-human traits. He is a repulsive POS that does not deserve to breathe the same air as the rest of us.

It's going to be a rocky road getting there.
Once the Senate "exonerates" the presidont he will consider his Kingship to be officially donsumated and will double down on illegaly rigging the election without fear of retribution.

If he wins, even by cheating, he will remain protected by the office.
If he loses, election rigging crimes won't be such a big deal because they will be just be one more crime On top of a massive pile.
