I can recall lots of arguments over drones here and elsewhere in the past 10 years or so--usually over privacy. While I see a place for them, I have long predicted we'd not have sufficient regulation. Given episodes where fire-fighting chemical-laden planes could not fly or were delayed because of drone conflicts and this kind of incident, I certainly hope under a Dem administration we can address this.

2. FAA has primary authority. I don't know if there are other state agencies, but...

all the attempts to pass privacy--related legislation that I'm aware of has come up against the big obstacle of Federal "anti-regulatory" attitudes. I haven't watched it closely in recent years though.

and they are getting more. If that drone pilot was operating illegaly,he could be subject to a 25.000 dollar fine plus any damages.And they can tell.FAA has full authority as they should.

But, I live in wildfire country and their refusal to regulate drone flyovers cost us--with fire retardant planes delayed and/or unable to fly.

You are wrong to think they are doing all the preventive regulation that is needed.

If you think otherwise, I imagine you will promote the admin talking points that EPA is likewise doing all they should to protect public health and environment and not merely serving as toadies for oil and gas, that Dept of Interior is doing all they can to serve all of us and likewise protect against disaster on public lands when they sell it all to the admin's corporate and oil and gas donors, that Dept. of Labor is likewise doing all it can to serve all of us, while it decimates labor law enforcement and allows corporations to put worker lives at risk to maximize profits. And on and on and on.

Sorry, but I am in no mood to see this kind of false meme being promoted
