Are there any "Out" GOP politicians?

I can't think of any, at least on a national level.
We've had openly gay politicians in the Democratic Party for decades.
It really speaks volumes that though we know there are LBGT Republicans, they can't reveal who they are to their neanderthal Party.

The difference is stark and illuminating.

Mauro E. Garza, the owner of the Pegasus nightclub on the Main Avenue Strip, has thrown his hat into the primary for the Texas 21st Congressional District seat running as a Republican.

Garza is one of 18 Republicans who are vying to succeed Lamar S. Smith (R-San Antonio) who’s held the seat for the last 30 years.

The 21st District encompasses South Austin, San Antonio, Dripping Springs, San Marcos, New Braunfels, Boerne, Kerville, and Frederickburg.

Article is old. He's now trying to unseat Democrat Joaquin Castro.

Current ambassador to Germany, though God knows how long that will last given how fast Trump gets tired of people at State.

Other than that, nobody at the national level, and only a few at the state level.

Even 10 years ago this was not true; the GOP has really driven off conservative LGBT people since then.

I guess I had better tone it down. I made a comment on another thread about Melania, mainly to vent, and someone said I was rubbing people the wrong way. On DU!

Their website is actually a piece of propaganda which seems intended to reassure LGBT Republicans that the Republicans are on their side. http://www.logcabin.org/ and argue that the Democrats are not pro LGBT.

Looking at their "leadership" link, the only politician I found was Richard Tisei, who ran for various positions - lt Governor and Congressman from Massachusetts - losing each time. Nowhere on the site to they advocate support for a gay incumbent or challenger.
