(8,303 posts)Fukushima Daini and Daiichi are on the coast. Nakadori is a good ways inland, close to Mt. Yomogida on the expressway. If you search for Fukushima Nakadori and then search for Fukushima nuclear power plant you can see the locations.
Nor is it just there - look at the list of quakes:

(27,247 posts)Nakadori literally means "central road" and is a region in Fukushima that is away from the coast. "Hamadori" literally means "coastal road" and that is where the nuclear reactors are located. There have been several "Hamadori" earthquakes recently, but none of them has been above a M4.0, and only one or two of them have reached a "2" on the Japanese seismic intensity scale (meaning that they were slightly perceptible but would not cause any damage).
On edit: The strongest recent earthquake in the Nakadori area, a M4.1, registered a 4 on the Japanese seismic intensity scale (lots of shaking and rattling) in a very small area of Nakadori, but at Tomioka, which is a stone's throw from the nuclear complex, it registered only a 1 on the Japanese scale (meaning that even if you felt it, you might think it was a truck passing by).
