3. Talking with my son who is a retired 21 years Navy Chief - he is

in convo with many of his retired Navy folk's and they are so worried about the moral of the enlists rank and file..he wrote to me saying

"Good news afa E7 Gallagher. The Chief's mess won't allow him in...he's not a chief...he's an E7. I suppose when you go online and call superior officers names, Yeah, it's not going to end well for him. He doesn't need to receive lifetime benefits if you ask me...that's for another day...

Folks that haven't served in the Navy have no idea the prestige that is placed on a Navy Chief Petty Officer.

No other branch of service entrusts as much authority in their senior NCOs as the Navy does.
