It's a stretch to imagine they'll think for themselves and do the right thing

of the GOP faithful will have any effect on them. Right now, Fox News is pooh-poohing the testimonies, and they are doing their level best to keep the deplorables on board.

If GOP Senators fear a backlash from those voters, they will keep parrotting the "yeah, improper, but not impeachable" theme.

If the GOP Senators decide to give up on Trump because his polling collapses , the charge will be lead by McConnell ...There is safety in numbers. It will be all or nothing for these cowards …..

The only way senators will sway is if polling shows Trump's approval taking a sharp decline in Trump-heavy states.

Right, wrong, legal, illegal, these words have no meaning to them. Holding on to Power is all that matters.

As long as GOP and Trump supporters are willing to deny and ignore the reality of this, they will as well. It’s as simple as that.

about Burisma not Bidens. Both Sondland and Volker brought that up. Strongest argument (of sorts) in defense of it all

the drumbeats of corruption remain too hard to conceal and the stink of the corruption (incompetent too) is plastered all over everyone involved.

Many good people have come out of the woodwork (the 'swamp' according to rump), and testified to the corruption. Thank god that there are people who really do care about this Country. The others, I'm shaking my head at all of them, and wondering where the hell they were at when this crap was going on, right in front of them too. Where were they?
