a woman talking about the use of child labor in Africa. They showed a woman and her 4 children who work from 5AM to 6PM and as a whole earn $3 per week picking up mica.

Children as young as 4 are put to work. Some guy mentioned that their small hands are good for picking up the mica pieces.

but mainland Africa has the same problem in several places

The world doesn't need to be this way. The wrongness of it is overwhelming.

According to the report, mica is everywhere in everyday products. Sometimes it takes a massive global movement to change this kind of exploitation.

3. Extreme poverty...

The numbers have gone down on extreme poverty, (not to be confused with average or general poverty) but:

Nearly 1.1 billion fewer people are living in extreme poverty than in 1990. In 2015, 736 million people lived on less than $1.90 a day, down from 1.85 billion in 1990.

That's still an enormous number of human beings starving and working for what is not even sustenance in some cases. Many children will be exploited and used for labor due to that alone.
