They’ll also have an electronic record of the call.

Nobody makes a phone call from Kiev to the president’s personal cell phone without there being a record of such a call having been made.

They have subpoenaed the billing records from the provider already.

Trump has nothing to do with the billing records for Sondland’s personal cell phone.

And two people have testified to what happened during that call...

Then Sondland is going to have to have a somewhat interesting description of what transpired during that call.

indicated he was trying to lie in his first session. With one person having heard his conversation, another in the wing saying the same thing and still others at the table when the call happened, Sondland likely won't try to set up him versus Holmes, Sondland is going to save his ass and role like a baby that has shat his or her diaper.

Po' thing was first out of the gate and hadn't read the room correctly. When he realized all of the other witnesses were going to give honest testimony, he started 'correcting' himself. He's still in trouble, but he seems to realize he can minimize his problems by not lying for the prez.

I'm pretty sure he is going to fold. He got caught once into lying for trump and had to correct his previous testimony. Today, he must have seen stone being convicted for lying to congress.

He is a rich man with a hotel empire. He is not going down for Trump. He is going to cash his chips and resign, stop playing ambassador.

There are as already reports that his family, his wife in particular is concerned about the effect of his shenanigans on the family business. Sondland thought it would be fun to play ambassador. But if it comes to saving Trump or himself, I don't think he will go for Trump.

buy ambassadorships. It's been sort of an unfortunate practice for years, but usually the ambassadorships that can be purchased are for small, pleasant, harmless tropical countries where the ambassador can host embassy parties and pretend to be a character in a Graham Greene novel while not doing anything significant at all. In this case, though, this numpty Sondland bought himself a really important ambassadorship for which he was galactically unqualified, and promptly proceeded to fuck it up. What he really got for his million bucks was a shit-ton of trouble.

one of the MSNBC shows last evening. She addressed the Holmes' statement that he didn't take notes, something the Rs will surely use to attack his credibility. She said FSO's and particularly political affairs counsels like Holmes are speficially trained how to remember conversations because they are sometimes in situations where they can't take notes and must rely on their memory of what was said by whom.

Also one the witnesses was Sondland's "minder" while he was there, meaning this person accompanied him everywhere. I just wonder what they talked about when travelling from place to place. Sondland's in over his head, but he seems like a friendly, chatty guy who would strike up a conversation easily enough.

He may say he doesn't recall exactly what was said on the call, or he doesn't remember the conversation the same way Holmes does. Explicitly lying at this point would not be very bright on his part.
