Devin Nunes is bravely defending Trump. That's bad news for the president
by Richard Wolffe
The ex-dairy farmer isnt exactly the cream of the cream: his bizarre claims on the presidents behalf have backfired
If you were on trial on national television, facing the possible loss of your job and the probable loss of what remains of your reputation, you might not place your fate in the hands of Devin Nunes.
Nunes is a one-time dairy farmer who now milks the bursting udders of an entire herd of conspiracy-minded cows.
Mad cow disease had the rare power to leap across species through an unusually mysterious vector known as a prion. Mad Devin disease appears similarly devastating to the human brain through an unusually mysterious vector known as Vladimir Putin.
The California congressman who somehow qualified as the most senior Republican on the House intelligence committee opened his defense of Donald Trump with a long moo about Moscow and the Democrats interest in the Mueller investigation.

(4,341 posts)The time he spoke for about 30 seconds my wife turned to me and asked "did you understand what he said, what he meant?", and I didn't...he, Gym Jordan and Ratcliff have no shame, they just show up there to play stupid and they do it with conviction.

(4,341 posts)His reputation has been that of a fraud, a con man, an amoral man, a rapist, an adulterer, a liar, a racist and you know the rest...that reputation will be intact, I just hope he mends his way while he is in jail, that should give him plenty of time to reflect on his life.

(6,207 posts)For some reason Devin Nunes got "weaponized" as a far right wing attack dog for Trump. His family left the state for Iowa, and I think he has hoodwinked the people in his district in California into thinking he still represents them as a former dairy farmer.
But, he's just a Trump tool now.
Time for his constituents to wise up to his radical views.
Time for replacement.
