(2,220 posts)I cant decide if I want Michael Brantley or Yan Gomes and Asdrubal Cabrera to win. 😂 I think Im leaning toward the Nats, though, remembering that..thirty years ago?..Dave Martinez played for the Cubs, and was my favorite player. Go Nats! .

(269,004 posts)I'm celebrating the boos and the lock him up chants. One of my nieces and one of my nephews grew up in Houston. This is all politics.

(34,452 posts)Because of the humiliation.
The fans who watched the final game at Nats Park, in the rain, also booed and chanted when a Trump ad was shown on the Jumbotron. A twofer!

The fans at the last game were amazing! I loved how regardless of team jersey they joined together to show solidarity against that disgusting occupant. "Lock him up" never sounded so good....

Of course I had the whole game recorded on DVR and deleted it before I saw the story

(269,004 posts)The last time a Washington team won the World Series was in 1924 when Hall of Famer Walter Johnson came out of the bullpen to pitch the last four innings and win the seventh game, 4-3, in 12 innings.

(6,034 posts)Not just because Houston knocked out my Yanks, but because of the disgraceful way the Astros management treated Stepehanie Apstein and the way they tried to discredit her.

(2,343 posts)I was wrong. I did congratulate the Nats in another post. I still can't believe the Astros lost that series. I'm never confident about anything, but I was confident the Astros would win, even when they were down 0-2. My losing record of predictions is still intact though!
