(3,501 posts)I figure the more of us that repeat the term anti-American Republican the more it will stick.
Of course, sometimes I am called out on the use of the term.
Then I respond by listing all the American groups Republicans hate:
1) Muslims
2) brown-skinned people
3) Democrats
4) Liberals
5) Socialists
6) anyone in the LGBT community
7) the poor
8) the working class
9) Jews
10) Feminists
11) Aethistists
12) Journalists
13) Scientists
14) immigrants
15) and so on
So factually it's correct to call them anti-American because they are opposed to over half of our Country

(47,430 posts)is the republican party. It is the republicans who have been known for endless, go nowhere hearings and investigations. Guess they assume the Democrats are as well, though its more likely just a typical GOP diversion.

(7,220 posts)Women have the right to sexual freedom without being labeled or shamed. In a time when women are being so maligned (acceptance of trump's "pussy grabbing" by so many of his followers, the Kavanaugh debacle and maligning of Ms. Blasey-Ford for having the temerity to speak out, "lock her up" is just fine, but "lock him up" is met with clutched pearls (by Republicans at least), and of course the attacks on reproductive rights around the country...
can we please not just call women whores? Is that really too much to ask?

(266 posts). . . I've been horrified that this idiot had ascended to the House of Representatives and brought shame on my old home state with her displays of jackassery. The mere fact that this braying dumbass is now an actual United States Senator is something that would have been unthinkable a generation ago. But such is the sorry state of the world we now live in.

(135,832 posts)U.S. Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), a candidate for U.S. Senate, claimed in a campaign video that she stopped the sale of baby body partsa statement that caused Twitter to refuse to run the video as a promoted Tweet. Blackburns claim is not only, as Twitter found, inflammatory. Its completely false.
The Associated Press on Monday reported that Twitter blocked an ad submitted for paid promotion by Blackburns Senate campaign. The video contained what Twitter deemed an inflammatory statement that is likely to evoke a strong negative reaction, a representative from the social media site reportedly told the campaign.
Campaign spokesperson Andrea Bozek confirmed the story by phone on Monday. She said the campaign received news of the decision from Twitter that morning.
