Trump's Baghdadi Distraction Flops As America Focuses On Impeachment

From the article:

Trump got no bump from the Baghdadi raid, and he failed to change the news coverage, which snapped back to impeachment.

It was clear that Trump was trying to use the Baghdadi raid to distract from impeachment. The president began his stunt with his cryptic Saturday night tweet about something big happening. The suspense lasted less than an hour as reports came in quickly that it was a raid on the ISIS leader. Trump’s White House then announced that the president would be addressing the country at 9 AM on Sunday morning.

Trump is desperate to find something, anything, to distract from the parade of witnesses testifying about the Trump/Ukraine/quid pro quo situation.

When the Big Dog asked him “Where’s the beef?”.

At Donnie’s Nothing-Burger Cafe, we lack not only the beef, but the vegetables and condiments and the only buns we see are on Donnie’s extramarital girlfriends.

He might be able to draw a crowd. Otherwise, he’LL be filling the stadiums with paid attendees.

He wore us out. Probably even his most ardent fans are sick of his act & that mug. now he can’t figure out how to make the magic happen again. Oh, boo hoo.

It used to be called chasing the dragon, that futile effort to recreate that first experience. He might get to the point where he actually shoots someone on Fifth Avenue to get attention.

Trump is simply unacceptable no matter what he were to do for a majority of Americans. That's why I think election predictors that were accurate before need to be thrown out. Nothing Trump does between here and the election is going to make those who currently disapprove of him vote for him. The best he can hope for is that he'll successfully paint the Democratic candidate as more unacceptable than him.

He cannot sustain it. And we already know who and what he is so I can think of nothing he could do to change people’s opinions of him. That ship has sailed. But his problem is that he needs the praise, the admiration and the loyalty to keep his fragile ego inflated for a while longer...until he gets his next hit. He is always “chasing the dragon” with no idea he’ll never get what he got in the beginning. This period of history will play out in front of us and it will be interesting to see how his story ends. I just hope he doesn’t decide to take us all down with him.

For him to win re-election, shenanigans or election theft need to happen.

And the economy is on the brink, if that heads South, all those predictors will be against him anyway.
