My opinion---it's worth at least what it costs you:

We are about to know a day which will try our patience and our souls.

It is becoming obvious, even to Trump, that he has waded in way over his head. Whether you prefer "the chickens are coming home to roost" or "the ship is about to hit the sand", Trump is under siege and there are no obvious escape routes that won't cost him dearly.

And, if that was not enough bad news for this country, many, if not most, of the Republicans in Congress---House and Senate---are just as dirty as Trump is. Their political survival is tied to his by so many strands of duplicity and complicity that we will likely never fully unravel the snarl. For many, supporting and protecting Trump is required if they are to remain in power and avoid prison.

In short we have backed a whole herd of rats into the same corner and, well, you know what rats do when they're cornered.

I expect jaw-dropping outrageous "counter- measures" to be undertaken by Trump and his acolytes over the next several months. The recent unprecedented and possibly illegal forced entry into the SCIF? The blatant "So What!" attitude about the admitted "quid pro quo" demanded from Ukraine? CHILD'S PLAY!

Watch for embarrassing internet-fueled rumors which will be picked up by the MSM.

Look for little-known political operatives or bought-and-paid-for plaintiiffs to file civil lawsuits against prominent Democrats alleging sexual misconduct, slander, mis-use of funds, etc.

And, I do not rule out the possibility of some type of criminal charges being pursued or at least very publicly considered against---Schiff, Pelosi, Hunter Biden, Hillary Clinton and---the man who dared to mock Dear Leader--- Barack Obama.

Some or all of the above---or maybe the invasion of some weaker nation---may soon be the "Breaking News" we must hear of as we sip our morning coffee. IMHO, things are going to get a lot worse before they even begin to get a little better. Hunker down and take care of each other.

I feel like we're already living through a hellscape of a nonstop crazy news cycle. It's going to get worse.

This part "...I do not rule out the possibility of some type of criminal charges being pursued or at least very publicly considered against---Schiff, Pelosi, Hunter Biden, Hillary Clinton and---the man who dared to mock Dear Leader--- Barack Obama..."

I am also concerned about. I do not put it past the Rethugs to try and jail a prominent Dem as a last ditch attempt at deflection as the ship really begins to sink.

Scary times indeed.

Psychiatrist Lance Dodes on the "panicked" state of the "most dangerous person on the planet"

If Trump is forced from office, what will happen with his followers? Will they suffer a mass psychotic break? Do you think there will be violence?

If Trump is actually ever forced out it will have to be with Republican support. Consequently, his supporters will have people in their own party to turn to, and they and their politicians will create a version of reality that they can live with. There will likely be a mass denial that they ever really supported Trump.

A lot of people have said that he won't leave peacefully. I think that he will. He's clever that way; he perceives it would not be in his personal interest to have to be carried out of the Oval Office by the FBI. His focus on his personal benefit at any cost is why he's a successful sociopath.

My guess is that he will find a way to leave with an invented rationalization. He'll say he was pushed out by the bad people: the Mexicans, the crooked media, etc. He'll continue to portray himself as a victim, and he'll encourage people to rally around him and, not incidentally, around his companies. He'll maintain the near-psychotic view that he is not diminished at all but has been attacked by heathens. And a certain number of people will follow him.

I was not a right wing watcher or even a listener at the time but I don't remember this level of concern about what was to come or what to watch for when Bill Clinton was on the impeachment train.

The current times seem to be more extremely about our survival as a nation, as a country, as an ideal than the Clinton impeachment or for that matter even Nixon's impeachment and I don't think it's my bias as a Liberal Democrat.

4. They've already done all the things you mentioned. That's what the Trump administration IS.

And now it's what the rest of the Republican party is too.

I always knew they were rat bastards (for other reasons) but I never saw them so vigorously defend crime and wrongdoing. Under this president, they've given me nothing but validation for my feelings.

Now we will all see GOP self-immolation live on TV and Twitter. The SS Trumptanic is going down.
