The brilliance of Nancy.

Her strategy seems obvious now, but it wasn't so obvious when she opened the Ukraine investigation.

Instead of beginning an impeachment investigation with a formal vote -- which would have been passed, but with almost all Democratic votes -- she simply told the Courts that the House was in the preliminary phases of an impeachment proceeding; and later announced the new committee hearings on Ukraine.

In these closed-door interviews, the Republican members of the committees have heard all the witnesses testimony. And many other R's in Congress have been seeking information on what is being said in the Committees -- and it's damning.

NOW, after all those witnesses have given their depositions, and the 47 R's in the committees have heard them, NOW they have to vote on whether to impeach or not.

Nancy has made their decision much, much harder -- because soon the American people will know what was in the depositions. And all those R's are up for reelection in November.

It puts GOP reps and senators on the hot seat for 2020. Their actions regarding impeachment will be fresh in voter's minds.

Just one more lever of power she can use.

I’m incredibly glad that when I doubted her, I was wrong. It was my impatience; thank goodness Nancy has patience!
