I hate to break it to you but Trump loved the booing

He lives for that. He loves being President because he can play the face in Kentucky and the heel in DC. (Pro-wrestling terms; "good guy" and "bad guy", roughly.)

Remember: the target of the migrant family separation policy was not the migrants. He doesn't care about them one way or the other. The target was us ivory tower snowflakes who got triggered by it. The purpose wasn't to separate families; the purpose was to make us upset. The fact that it hurt the migrants even more doesn't even factor in to how he thinks. He soaks up anger of good people, and takes it to bad people and gets adulation for it.

The booing at the baseball game gives him another victim story to take to Kentucky. They're going to eat it up.

When he claims something didn't bother him like this, the opposite is always closer to the truth.

Of course he'll spin it by claiming they were a bunch of Deep State Democrats bussed in by for the occasion by George Soros and led by Hillary and Obama, but there's no denying that he did not like being booed. And I think his (and Steven Miller's) family separation policy is about more than 'owning the libs'. It's about an ideology of white nationalism. And it's about appealing to the base. Without racism, the Republican Party would cease to be viable. It's the #1 tool in the GOP tool belt. Trump himself has a long history of being a blatant racist, even before he was seeking political office.

He will definitely use it as fuel for revenge, and to play the victim at his rallies.

I think that it is incorrect to say he "loved" it. He did not expect it as you can see from his smiles and body language before and after the booing started. He did not like it at all because he expected to be cheered as "the President". He does enjoy being adversarial, but typically it is something that he sets up himself. He was blindsided by the crowd yesterday and his expression shows it.

Oct 2019

That he lives in his own world. Even though the responses to his tweets often reflect the truth from people who protest him, he can slough that off any way he wants to.

He is used to his praise fests where the devotees say yes to and glorify even his flatulence. I saw the gif of his face and that was not a good reaction at all. This narcissist wants to believe some of his self-aggrandizement and, other than outside protests, he has not had enough blows against his wall up to this point.

The thing is, judging by that reaction and what it can do, we may see some very destructive behavior from him as he vents it or gets revenge, because he most likely believes he should have been cheered and the ungrateful crowd did not give him his due.

I think this is going to set him off bigly! Heads up. Best case scenario, a resignation as a saving of himself, (whom he really loves) may have more potential now.

There’s validity to what you say, but he’s not the only one in the equation. He spins everything toward dividing us, no matter how he might feel. Yes, I agree he believes he’s a martyr, a noble creature, and he wants support for that and for his minions to buy into it too. But we can’t let him dictate (literally) our ability to be who WE are. Democrats are notoriously anxious about doing no harm, and about finding the haystack over the needle. I’m for being adults in policy and careful in conduct, but this is an important protest against his madness and the danger he’s putting us in. It energizes us.

I do have a favorite modern heel, of course, that being brock lesnar. his sleezy manager does the trash talk but if 'rasslin' was real they would be burying lesnar's opponents.

so that is the basic question about trump. is he playing his rubes? or does he really believe his own kayfabe?
