For anyone else who missed watching the game, here are some clips of a wonderful human being doing a great job throwing out the first pitch. There's an intro in the first vid to fill you in on all the good things he does besides run great restaurants. [I knew about World Central Kitchen but did not know he was nominated for a Nobel Peace prize, wow! How did I miss that?]
All are different vantage points - there's some clowning in the last vid that's not as obvious in the others. Jose obviously had so much fun doing this, and what a great memory for him. He deserves it. Good throw, too!

(13,776 posts)LOL! That's what I get for trying to post on my phone.
I really liked what I've seen and made so far. It's creative, but not complicated.

(14,537 posts)We took our then 11 year old son to see the Nats play against our local team. He couldn't decide if he wanted to wear his Nats t-shirt of the local teams t-shirt. He ended up wearing both, with the local team on top.
Zimmerman was playing 3rd base and scooped up a foul ball. A group of kids were standing next to the dugout. Zimmerman pointed to my son a tossed the ball at him. There was no fight over it and he caught it. After the game he went down to the dugout with his Dad who was wearing his Nationals t-shirt and not only did Zimmerman sign it, he got a couple of others to sign it.
I am pretty sure I don't have to tell you how excited my kid was to get the ball, then to get it signed. It made his year.
Zimmerman is the only player I have seen that would consistently take foul balls and toss them to the kids.

Sounds like your kid got himself a real memory.
