Vallejo is just over the ridge from us, but I think they are getting a handle on that one.

80mph winds overnight; less today, but with strong gusts.

The wind is generally causing damage: power lines down (they think that is what caused the new fires around Lafayette where power was not shut off) trees, fences, power lines, etc. going down in various areas.

Hoping my back fence stays up.😬

My 50th high school reunion was this weekend in La Jolla. Decided not to go for various reasons, but have a classmate whose husband stayed at their home in Sebastopol. Just heard from her that he has been evacuated, but so far their house is not in danger.

If you have to go, take the family photos with you!

The Vallejo fire is now contained, and only got to about 150 acres.

My biggest personal concern is with my back fence, and a large redbud tree in the front yard. I thought the last wind blast was going to take it down, and the gusts are coming closer together. I planted that tree 26 years ago, and I'd hate to lose it now.

Our current major wind event is supposed to end by about 11:00am tomorrow, but there is another one coming Tuesday afternoon thru Wednesday morning.

The Kincade fire in Sonoma county has currently burned approx. 46 sq. miles, with 10% containment.

KCBS has just reported an immediate evacuation for neighborhoods in southern Martinez because of a fire starting there. The wind here is crazy.

Thanks for asking. The only problem we are having at the moment is that our back fence may come down. Put some 2x4 bracing up earlier.

Around Lafayette. Also reports of fire near San Ramon.

I was just coming home and could see huge billows of smoke coming up from what looks like the direction of Antioch, or possibly Tracy. No reports on that yet.

They have comprehensive coverage, pretty much 24/7.
