Hope all of you are safe and sound.
The fires are hard to watch. Even harder is all the rain in the South and the Midwest.
Some day, maybe, we will build an infrastructure of trenches, pipes and aqueducts to be able to move water from one part of the country to another.

But the Southeast and part of the Midwest have had major floods in past years. Such infrastructure will have to be carefully negotiated so a spigot is not just turned on.
I think that there is some arrangement between GA and FL but a few years ago there was a dispute about FL taking too much from the reservoir in GA.

(2,012 posts)is so sad for you, Californians, your beautiful state. and hoping with all our hearts the winds will die down and the nation will follow our young people and all the scientists and environmentalists working on climate change. That is, of course, all except our president and his lackeys who do not care if the whole planet burns up.
