Be gentle, though. My feelings could get bruised if fun is made is me. Lol.

(11,495 posts)When they themselves are guilty of a crime, and trying to make sure what they did never becomes public. Narcissists, like trump, get all the dirt they can on people they want to control. The use the dirt they have to make people, like these republicans, do dump shit like this. They have to do all they can to make sure trump gets out of this mess, because they know trump will throw them under the bus, and expose all their dirty deeds if things don't go his way.
It think a lot of this is about money funneled to republicans from Russia. I also think that Putin had hackers get into not just the Democrats servers, but also the republicans. They have made a choice between our country and trump, and the are going with trump.
The sad things is they "think" this will save them, but it won't. It only proves they are disgusting individuals who are only in office for the power and the money. The don't care about the people they are supposed to be representing.

(7,220 posts)True up to the point when those people they represent start demanding accountability. Support for impeachment seems to be rising every day (even Fox's own poll shows this).
I guess when they face getting voted out, that's when they decide to spend more time with the adoring family.

(25,982 posts)You are not alone in this assessment. Len Blavatnik may be originally from Ukraine, but he made his first billions in Russia. He's spent many rubles on the GOP in the last few years.

(43,257 posts)Congressional hearings cost money, all the supporting services and goods required to hold the hearings. Plus, here we have security personnel, and whatever they had to do to sweep the room for security purposes after the stunt was over.

(38,517 posts)Someone told me long ago
There's a calm before the storm
I know it's been comin' for some time
When it's over so they say
It'll rain a sunny day
I know shinin' down like water
I want to know
Have you ever seen the rain?
I want to know
Have you ever seen the rain
Comin' down on a sunny day?

(574 posts)We ain't seen nothin' yet. I'm concerned for the well being of the Democrats and witnesses. Will a plane fall from the sky? Will someone be poisoned drinking tea or putting their hand on a poisoned doorknob? Will there be an car accident in a tunnel? Putin has far reaching will . The Russians spent a great deal of money putting useful idiots in the right positions not to achieve their objective. Buckle up we have a rough road ahead of us.

(4,007 posts)...stunts while in the WH talking with Trumpy. They won't likely try the same stunt with more guards posted. Instead, look for step to the Capitol stunts so they can get on TV...which they failed pretty much to do yesterday. Or they may a barge into other House committee rooms, again too gain maximum exposure.
