(86,765 posts)which means there IS NO executive privilege, period. They have to prove their connection to MF45 to make that even a consideration in a court of law. And that goes for rudy too. Any manner of proof of their working for the pres in official manner will reveal what they were actually doing which is bad news for all of them.
I hope they get laughed back into prison cells.

(5,529 posts)It is doomed to failure because this doesn't remotely resemble a case for Executive Privilege. So it will fail spectacularly.
Meanwhile, it will handcuff them to Trump while they desperately try to explain how closely they were working for him.
Please proceed.
At the end of all of this, I suspect that the concept of Executive Privilege will need to be codified in law. It is simply too open to abuse by the unscrupulous.
