Those idiotically laughable subject-line words were written by Ilya Shapiro, the libertarian, right-wing director of the Robert A. Levy Center for Constitutional Studies at the Cato Institute and publisher of the Cato Supreme Court Review. (Note: Cato Institute is a Koch-funded entity.)
Think Shapiro would get upset about what TRUMP has done to the constitution? I googled it high and low, and the ONE issue where Shapiro softly criticizes his Holy Master is Trumps attempt to use emergency powers to to fund his goddamned wall.
Note that this article was written in January 2017, when 45 was a noobie. Not that anythings changed.

The Federalist, January 19, 2017
The Obama administration has been the most lawless in U.S. history. I dont mean that in the Nixonian sense of personal corruption, whereby the president is personally above the law, although the idea that Barack Obamas tenure has been ethically pure is laughable.
No, my accusation rests on the 44th presidents seeing himself as professionally above the law, ignoring the executive branchs legal limits and disrespecting constitutional bounds like federalism and the separation of powers.

Five Years Later, Obama's Tan Suit 'Controversy' Seems More Ridiculous Than Ever

The amount of chaos Trump has caused since becoming president is so egregious that his overly long ties and poorly tailored suits are the absolute least of anyone's worries. Obama's tan suit is still laughably bad, but I would honestly be fine if he had worn a T-shirt every day if it meant we had a somewhat competent president now.

(3,020 posts)By any empirical measure, the Obama administration was the least lawless, least corrupt, most scandal free of any presidency in the past century.
Shapiro has a list of libertarian butt-hurt, largely over Obama successes.

And these same Republicans are twisting themselves into baroque pretzels to excuse Trumps very real transgressions.

With what he's done in Syria, that all seems extra moronic but we know these people have no shame. They're defending an open criminal now.

Thats THE definition of Trumps ideological bent. He thinks hes a god-emperor. Apparently his cult base does, too.
