SCOOP: @RudyGiuliani represented a client in a very, very sensitive foreign bribery case in a recent meeting with @TheJusticeDept, even as it was investigating him for possible FARA violations.
He says that didn't come up, & neither did TRUMP.

Giuliani Mixes His Business With Role as Trumps Lawyer
Amid intensifying scrutiny of his own work, the former New York mayor met recently with senior Justice Department officials on behalf of a client in a foreign bribery case.

A few weeks ago, Mr. Giuliani secured a meeting, along with some other defense lawyers, with the head of the Justice Departments criminal division and attorneys in the fraud section. They were there to discuss a foreign bribery case for a client that Mr. Giuliani described as very, very sensitive.
Mr. Giuliani declined to divulge any details about the meeting, except to say it had nothing to do with legal issues facing him or Mr. Trump. Days after the meeting, it was revealed that Mr. Giuliani was under investigation himself for possible violations of foreign lobbying laws by federal prosecutors in Manhattan.

In the case of his recent meeting at the Justice Department, Mr. Giuliani declined to identify the client or subject covered, saying, None of your business. He said he was one of several lawyers working on the case who attended.
Its a completely privileged meeting, he said, but it was a perfectly appropriate meeting.
Mr. Giuliani requested the meeting to discuss a case related to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, which bars Americans from bribing foreign officials, according to people familiar with the meeting. They said it was attended by Brian A. Benczkowski, the assistant attorney general in charge of the Justice Departments Criminal Division.

This is from 2018-
(CNN)The Senate on Wednesday confirmed Brian Benczkowski to lead the Justice Department's criminal division on a near party-line vote over Democratic objections to his nomination due to ties to a prominent Russian bank.
Benczkowski's nomination was controversial because of his work for Alfa Bank, which has been scrutinized by FBI counterintelligence. Benczkowski, a former lead staffer to Attorney General Jeff Sessions in the Senate and a Trump transition official, has faced criticism from Democrats since he was nominated last year over his past private-practice work on behalf of Alfa Bank, one of Russia's largest financial institutions.
