Because someone not on the committees was not let in is their preferred story . This was then taken up by Jim Jordan with both of them tweeting it out and on right wing shows. Either the Republicans on the committee are MIA or most likely, they see the "we were locked out" story better for their base.

Maybe they are tweeting this, I’ve only seen a couple before the cameras. Gym Jordan is one.
