There was no real bombshell, they just want their brain dead followers to think there was something to help Rudy. I don't believe anything they have to say so wouldn't even follow for further updates.

So that the witnesses who haven't testified yet won't be influenced by whatever is being testified to now, and it will be that much harder for people in the Administration to coordinate their stories.

to date with respect to others who have testified was given to reporters by Congressmen/Staffers who are very well aware of what can and can not be put out there.

The point is the hyped "Bombshell" announcement. I find that irresponsible for reporters to do when they know full well they either don't have the information to report or could not even if they did. They can still report on the length of testimony, the general areas the individual is likely to testify to and whether or information they garner as to whether or not they are being perceived as truthful and forthcoming. Likewise whatever they find out re: efforts to stop their testimony.

What nobody is talking about yet is Giuliani’s financial difficulties. He’d had to borrow $100K from one of Trump’s other lawyers due to his most recent divorce. In other words, he was financially desperate and was for sale, even if it was to the Putin connected Russian mob to sell out his country. Now his latest lawyer quit and he has to hire a criminal defense atty which is going to cost a shitton. He is forked.

If everything just links Giulianni, Trump may claim he had no knowledge of these nefarious goings ons.
A lie of course but it might be enough to give Republicans an excuse to vote against conviction.

"Bomb shell" and "bombshell" are two different things.

Bombshell has been in use as a synonym for bomb for centuries, dating to the 1700s. It's been in use as a reference to sensational events since at least 1860.

I'm certain I've heard and seen "bombshell" before, but, for whatever reason, it just sounded wrong.

Thanks for the link to Merriam-Webster! It is always a good day to learn.
