(2,940 posts)and there are many out there of President Obama interacting with children - I try to picture Romney in the same situation. I tend to think there is no way the Mittbot would make a funny pouty face back at the little boy. He'd be more like, "Greetings, smaller human. You are not quite the right height," or something weird and not quite human. Or maybe he would push the kid's face into the butter dish, like he apparently did with his boys.

(306 posts)I wish I could have a picture with Barack
I was born a rascist - kind of. I was
so stupid and still am.
I had a good friend who was the only
black in my class. He was popular and one
hell of an athlete. I met him in back-yard
football. I exclaimed, look at that nigger run!
(I was fast but couldn't catch him).
Of course I apologized. I was thinking out-
loud. Five years later I was in the infantry
in Germany - 1967.
My first letter from mom was that my brother
met Herman at the store. Herman was dressed
in army O.D. (olive drab). He was going to
Viet Nam as a medic and concscientous objecter.
The P.S. in the letter was Herman was killed.
He wearing his red and white red cross garb.
He wasn't even 21 years old.

(146,324 posts)hung on the walls of the people in them. It's a rare privilege to have a personal encounter with a President, and people cherish photos of such encounters.
Thanks for posting!

(60,010 posts)I have many disagreements with Pres. Obama, to be sure, but his warmth and humane-ness comes across in spades.
He demonstrates an ability to SEE people, not look thru them.

(2,286 posts)She grew up in times of segregation and now she is hugging a biracial president. Gives me chills every time I think of this when he interacts with seniors.

(25,816 posts)On a side note, can anyone tell me how to get a picture from photobucket to post on DU?
I have a great photo of when my daughter met Obama.
, but I am computer challenged and on a dial-up.

(86,005 posts). . . the link address for the pic should already have a jpg, a gif, or a jpeg, or a png ending (unless it was altered in photobucket). The link needs to have one of those endings for the pic to show up on DU.
Just paste the image link on your post and the pic should show up.

(13,390 posts)A president you'd like to have a beer with?
Or a president you'd allow to hold your children and share a cookie with.
Or maybe both. He is so good with people.
