I don't hold out much hope that anyone appointed by Trump has the moral fiber to do the right thing. I think it's an unknown professional permanent staffer who actually cares about the country and the intelligence agencies.

Bolton could be a source for the whistleblower, or the second whistleblower. But if the NYT story is true (and not disinformation), the first whistleblower is CIA.

They said it was really well written, more like someone in the intel department would likely do. I think all along he's been writing for a book about this disaster, and trump.

It's most likely a career employee who is worried about retaliation. Bolton likely doesn't need those protections.
