I mean, hell sit down and listen to anyone, take his time, go to bat for them, give his money. But this environment is so sad and vicious that there is no one who will stick up for him. (7,947 posts)and got a vanity plum ambassadorship in return, and didn't care enough about his job or the country to figure out what he's actually supposed to do, and lets himself get turned into a patsy/enforcer thug for the worst guy ever, and strong-arms actual professionals and helps to threaten the new president of a country trying hard to get democracy....
I guess he should have thought about possible reputational repercussions earlier.
