Former Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman concluded on Monday that Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin must have “something” on President Donald Trump.


“We haven’t had to get troops out like this since the fall of Saigon,” Sherman replied. “This is going to be very, very difficult.”

“The president has basically handed the country back over to Assad, to Putin and to Iran and to ISIS,” explained.

“I guess we’ll continue to be asking this question for a long time, but why does he want to do these things for Vladimir Putin?” O’Donnell asked.

“This is the more than $64 million question. Maybe this is the $10 billion question — if that’s what Donald Trump is really worth — though I doubt it,” Sherman replied.

“Clearly he has business interests. Clearly Putin has something on Donald Trump,” she said.

I have been saying this for years to my friends. The second thing I have been saying for years is, something happened at the 2016 GOP convention between Russian spies and the GOP leadership. Did McConnell want to hang onto power so bad that he sold the country out to Putin and Moscow too????? McConnell knew Hillary Clinton would win and perhaps the GOP lose the senate too. Did he make a deal with the Russian Ambassador / spymaster at the 2016 GOP convention to steal elections throughout the USA???????

After the breakup of the USSR, Russian oligarchs essentially stole billions by privatizing state-owned businesses. They needed a way to make their black-market money legal, and real estate is a common means. A Russian paid Trump far more for a Florida home than it was worth. Why? If I recall correctly, the buyer never lived in it. Trump was in his fifth (or was it sixth) bankruptcy and no US bank would bail him out. Yet after visits to Russia and Deutsche Bank loans, he becomes a billionaire.

Putin’s kompromat on Trump is most likely financial illegalities. As a former KGB agent, he’s experienced in manipulating people, and I’m sure greedy Trump has been very easy to manipulate. Just wave a few millions in front of him.

and it probably isn't "kompromat" in the form oof a video of Trump with prostitutes or similar. Putin has Trump's balls in his pocket because Russian-backed loans and Russian oligarch money have been propping up Trump's business for years. This is also why Trump doesn't want the details of his finances to come out: because of the degree to which he is beholden to and therefore compromised by dependence on Putin and various unsavoury Russians etc.

It's just hard to prove violation of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

But Putin has SO much on Trump's money laundering he can cherry pick just one or two cases out of the bin and send Trump to prison while only slightly inconveniencing one oligarch.

The worst the oligarch would suffer is no longer being able to travel to a country the U.S. has an extradition treaty with. Big deal, there are lots of countries and lots of Trump-like crooks out there selling real estate. The rest of Russia's dirty business would continue on apace. Us permanently locking out all Russian business and money? No way. One word: Republicans.

And Putin has over 100 oligarchs dependent on him. Damaging one guy a bit isn't a problem for him.

I think what Trump fears most is that.

But yeah, we know he's committed more than a few sex crimes, too. He's vulnerable on trafficking through his "modeling" agency. He's vulnerable on fraud for how he ran the beauty pageants, trading sexual favors for himself and his sons for success (see "The Trump Rule" he imposed). He's vulnerable on rape, and statutory rape (see the 2016 federal suit filed by an ex Epstein girl).

I'll be happy to see him locked up for any of it.

Most likely, tho, is money laundering.
