Lawrence O'Donnell: "The 1000 troops in Syria are trapped. How will we get them out? An airlift?"

"WHY DOES HE WANT TO DO THESE THINGS FOR VLADMIR PUTIN?"

"He likes strongmen. He wants to be Vladmir Putin. Putin clearly has something on him."

I'll bet the Kurds will not help. Turkey is part of Nato, can't they allow safe passage.

rehabilitation of Trump at the expense of the Kurds. Maybe?

Putin, Trump, Erdogan control this. They call the shots in Syria, and they have been co-conspirators before. Trump's MO seems to be that he likes to break something or take it away as a negotiation strategy. He then demands a price or, at the least, he wants credit for fixing what he broke in the first place. DACA, Nafta, SNAP, Iran Deal...and now maybe Syria?

Did he disrupt a stable situation so that Putin and Trump can, together, can fly in and demand a stop to the conflict? He looks like a diplomat and a good deal-maker (he is neither, which is why he needs this). Everyone wins except the Kurds.

Or...is Trump such an idiot that he just blundered the Middle East into chaos?

people are implying motive and strategy to reckless (and startlingly ignorant) impulse.

(it use to be claimed that Trump admired military brass .. so explain please why we completely blindsided our own military in our "surprise" pullout? It's NOT strategic .. it's reckless impulse.)
