https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/465759-ex-gop-official-and-farmer-i-wouldnt-vote-for-trump-again-even-if-he-walkedChris Gibbs, the former chairperson of the Shelby County Republican Party, told CNBC that he feels "dubious" about the Trump administration's announced agricultural buys from China amounting to $40 billion to $50 billion amid the heated trade war between Washington and Beijing that experts say has hit farmers particularly hard.
He could come up with this $50 billion, he could walk across my pond and not get wet, and Im still not going to vote for him because, you know, at the end of the day my name is Chris Gibbs, its not Judas, and Im not going to sell my political moorings for 30 pieces of silver," Gibbs said.
The soybean and corn farmer voted for Trump in 2016 but said he's "out" from supporting Trump this time around.

(31,261 posts)They don't have to vote for the democrat if that upsets them less than voting for Trump, just leave the President bubble blank. But I hope that they at least listen and think seriously about what the democrat is saying. Hillary wouldn't have created the mess that they are in now, they need to think about that.

(31,261 posts)25 years of lies about a good person and talk radio has fucked up lots of people. Some saw Trump as a successful business person because he said he was, they didn't care to look deeper because Fox News and rightwing talk radio that they listen to told them all they needed to know about Hillary.

(31,261 posts)or susceptibility to a racist dog-whistle campaign. I know that sounds freaking astounding and that too was my reaction when I first arrived at that conclusion watching people that I thought that I knew. They just compartmentalize shit in strange ways and see only what they want to see.
