Good. It's about time: Knoxville attorney sanctioned for anti-Obama lawsuit

Now let's see this kind of action against Taitz and others.

NASHVILLE — A federal judge who dismissed in June a lawsuit that sought to have President Barack Obama's name removed from the ballot in Tennessee has now imposed sanctions on Knoxville lawyer Van Irion for bringing a "frivolous" claim to court.

"We are happy with the result and hope this brings an end to the ongoing litigation over President Obama's qualifications," said Gerard Stranch, an attorney for the Tennessee Democratic Party, in a news release.

The lawsuit, brought by Irion on behalf of Liberty Legal Foundation and three individuals, contended that the president is not a "natural-born citizen" of the United States and thus unqualified to serve in accordance with requirements of the United States Constitution.

U.S. District Court Judge S. Thomas Anderson of Memphis dismissed the lawsuit in June and last week partially granted a motion by Democrats who opposed it seeking sanctions against those who filed it.

Anderson said Liberty Legal Foundation had no legal standing to bring the lawsuit and the claims within are "frivolous and without any arguable basis in law."

People who spout out so much BS need to be ready to clean out the the two holes (mouth and other) lest they get clogged. They usually don't pin those things out where everyone can see them though. He must be proud of it. Perhaps the RNC gave him a gold plated one for his services and he wants the world to see it.

Hmm, I wonder what that's all about? Maybe it's a reference to his love of flinging excrement. Better duck Van Irion, some of it just got flung back at you.

in a sea of red.

Edited to add: I live in Knoxville. I used to be a news reporter. I used to cover courts and police. I've never heard of this dweeb, but, apparently, he works across an office complex where I used to work.

Odd that...
