I doubt he will get 50 plus 1 but he may come close. He's really cleaning up in Orleans with mostly absentee ballots reporting: 25,100 out of 28,500 votes.

(34,857 posts)Whoever wins a majority of the vote is elected. In fact, having two GOP candidates in the race seems to benefit 'em as if it were just two candidates, Edwards would win.
