To Grandpa (a veteran of the Ludlow Massacre) on Labor Day!

Dear God I wish they would remember what you put on the line so they could have 40-hour weeks, sick leave, and safe working environments. You did not fight in vain. There are those who still remember!

They have taken untold millions that they have never toiled to earn...

The memorial is ominous. Standing in the vault where all of those women and children were burned, you can almost hear their ghosts. My grandfather met Mother Jones, and when he died, the Union men placed the ever green leaf on his grave. People forget it was not just the military who have shed blood for the rights they enjoy.

in his younger years, my father was a union organizer, and I once lost a job because the company thought I was a union organizer (I wasn't, officially, but one does talk. . )

no, I never forget what our brave workers have endured for what we enjoy today.

It never has been. Between the AF Academy, Ft. Carson, and now Focus on the Family, it really bears little resemblance to the rest of the state.

Still, it is beautiful and there are some great people there. It is nice that Denver has changed enough to turn Colorado Blue once again. I am ecstatic to see New Mexico turning solid blue.

Kudos to your Grandpa and my dad (a union man all his life)

These photos tell the story of the good days, when folks got off their duffs and away from the screens and ON TO THE STREETS. We must be prepared to go again.

And just wanted to add, on edit, the 1% just keep asking for it....
