I can't think of anyone else like that in the WH or Senate(R) or House(R).
We'll see a lot of cornered-animal syndrome in the next few weeks. Wear gloves, have rabies shots.

(3,765 posts)Prosecutors say Fruman and Parnas schemed to donate money to an unidentified U.S. congressman, at the same time they were asking that congressman to get the U.S. ambassador to Ukraine removed from her job.
In the spring of 2018, Parnas met with the congressman seeking his assistance in causing the U.S. government to remove or recall the then-U. S. Ambassador to Ukraine, the indictment alleges. Parnass efforts to remove the Ambassador were conducted, at least in part, at the request of one or more Ukrainian government officials.
Political donations to the congressman and other details described in the indictment match former Texas Republican Pete Sessions, who lost his reelection bid last year.

(41 posts)I read somewhere that their donations were funneled from a foreign donor. Illegal. Boom!

(60,010 posts)The reason for their arrest: illegal campaign donations,
Parnas and Fruman are charged with making illegal straw donations, including a $325,000 contribution to the group America First Action. ....that donation actually came from an entirely different, undisclosed company owned by Parnas. It is illegal to donate to federal political candidates in the name of another person or entity.
Prosecutors allege a host of other, smaller straw donations designed, they say, to both evade federal campaign contribution limits and conceal the actual sources of the funds.
In addition to the straw donations, prosecutors say that Parnas, Fruman, and their co-conspirators made donations using money provided by an unnamed foreign national, who was ineligible to contribute to federal political campaigns under U.S. law.
