Minneapolis mayor responds to Trump: I don't have time to be 'tweeting garbage out'

Minneapolis mayor responds to Trump: I don't have time to be 'tweeting garbage out'
David Knowles
Yahoo News•October 8, 2019

A dispute between the Trump campaign and the city of Minneapolis over the city’s request for an upfront payment for security at President Trump’s planned rally there turned personal, as Mayor Jacob Frey suggested Trump should spend more time doing his job and less time “tweeting garbage out.”

“I’m not one that gets overly excited about Twitter back-and-forths,” Frey said at a Tuesday press conference. “I woke up this morning to a little bit of a surprise, which is that the president of the United States was tweeting about our city and me as the mayor. You know, I wake up every single morning with not a lot of time on my hands because I’m doing things like filling potholes and making sure that our city has enough affordable housing and I don’t have time, with a city of 430,000 people, to be tweeting garbage out. So it’s kind of surprising when the president of the United States, a country with 325 million people, has the time to do this himself. So I don’t know where the guy gets the time, but I certainly don’t have it.”

Trump launched his Twitter war with Frey after the mayor sought a $530,000 deposit to defray expenses, mostly for security, ahead of Trump’s Thursday rally at the Target Center in Minneapolis.

You are absolutely right, MF45 is not doing his job or much of anything productive at all. He eats, watches TV, tweets, and repeats the cycle throughout the day until he gives us all a rest for a blissful 3 hours when he sleeps.

He's a fat, lazy, useless POS who behaves like a toddler and doesn't deserve your respect or a response. Don't let him come without paying upfront, because you will never get reimbursed after the fact. Fuck him!

I can't understand why anyone would want to play golf with President Fat Fuk. He is not only a cheat, but he's a poor sport and you would probably have to spend the entire time listening to him praise himself. I can't think of anything more boring.

cities where there’s gonna be a trump rally.

He stiffed his subcontractors too. Gave them the job on his hotel construction projects. But when they finished, then...
1) he said their work was unsatisfactory and he wasn’t going to pay them.
2) if they objected, he’d say “so sue me.”
3) then he’d wait then out. By tying things up in court. He knew he had enough money to drag things out indefinitely, while some little Brooklyn fixture fitter or plumber didn’t have the means to fight. Exploiting a playing field that’s already NOT level to begin with.
4) the victim eventually gives up. And settles for far less. If he’s lucky.

Its perspicacity is absolutely refreshing. Jacob Frey hasn't reacted in any was but to respond as if he were swatting a fly away. The idiot president thrives on time-wasting battles & Mr. Frey's a busy man.

to pay for tRump's rallies. Where in the National budget does it say that we must now pay for presidential election rallies. I don't remember ever hearing of this in the past. Is this just special treatment for the POS in the White House currently? Or is the tRump campaign committee direct billed for ALL CAMPAIGN EXPENSES? This inquiring mind would like to know.

. . .when dealing with Trump. . .and demand payment UP FRONT.

Mayor Carmine De Pasto : If you want this year's homecoming parade in my town, you have to pay.

Dean Vernon Wormer : Carmine, I don't think it's right that you should extort money from the college.

Mayor Carmine De Pasto : Look, these parades you throw are very expensive. You using my police, my sanitation people, and my Oldsmobiles free of charge. So, if you mention extortion again, I'll have your legs broken.

One day general strike of all city employees, all AFL-CIO people.

It's what Trumka should be calling for. 'Oh, you're coming around for an inspection, shitler? All work stops.'
