5. The ads are disgusting lies, BUT

let them waste their money advertising on MSNBC. My guess is that <1% of its audience would be persuaded to vote for Trump by these ads.

Have not noticed any pro-Trump/Pence ads anywhere on MSNBC.

and not seen any of these ads in Manhattan. They're likely placed locally or regionally, purchased on the cable or sat provider. They rarely run nationally.

On the web, sometimes I will see right-wing ads for the NRA or some such thing on Wonkette or TPM. Not the audience, but an ad agency places them and the media site is usually happy to get the money.
