that Trump and the Senate are what we get for not voting, or throwing a tantrum because our candidate did not win the primary taking our toys and go home. We had a lot of both in 2016. Yes there was some interference, but a lot of democrats stayed home for various stupid reasons and we got the orange menace.
You do not always get what you want (as the old song says), any Democrat is better than the alternative. Ignore polls, all of them, we have to crush them this time our the Republic is toast.

(25,895 posts)Our nominee was not my preferred candidate, but I voted for her. I'm sure as hell not to blame. Actually talk to the non-voters, don't blame the rest of us.
Nor is Jill Stein the reason Trump won. People need to stop saying that.

If you voted then you did your part, but a lot of people did not.

(17,216 posts)... and goes on to remind us that "If you try, sometimes you get what you need." Now, the voters could have gotten much of what they wanted (like a world with less insanity in it), but an insufficient number were willing to try. My thinking is that there is a real need to set priorities: what is the minimum goal, and how best can that be achieved? The minimum would be to restore a modicum of professionalism and responsibility to the government, and it can be best achieved by voting against Donald Trump in particular and Republicans in general.
