For him, this equals that. No direct relationship is needed. No evidence is required. It is a superficial view.

It is rather pathetic that he imagines something he thinks he is responsible for has any relationship to what he tries to avoid responsibility for. They remain separated no matter what.

That is rather immature and irrational, among other things.

In regards to his statement, I would contend that the unemployment rate dropping a bit is despite his reckless and irresponsible polices and behaviors, and we know that the Obama era had long-term effects. Given time, the results will snowball. Some indicators already reveal that.
