"SNIP....
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) promised to question the whistleblowers publicly if President Trump ends up impeached, The Hill reports.
Said Graham: If the whistleblowers allegations are turned into an impeachment article, its imperative that the whistle-blower be interviewed in public, under oath and cross-examined. Nobody in America goes to jail or has anything done to them without confronting their accuser.
.....SNIP"
Did not work Lindsey. Second WB came forward.

Lindsey needs to read up some on his constitutional law: the Senate can't send Trump to jail or do anything to him, beyond removing him and disqualifying him from further office
Anything beyond that would involve the criminal justice system, where he does have the right to face his accusers

(22,129 posts)conduct being done and pointing to evidence of this ... so whistleblowers don't even have to testify...the wrongdoing are there out in the open for all to see and the evidence is too, all independent of the whistleblowers' actions. That is, for example, someone sees someone breaking into a house (and the crooks of course steal something, e.g., a car out of the garage)...the so called whistleblower sees the break in, and lets police know about it, and the police can see the break in and get fingerprints, can see the missing car (evidence)...all w/o whistle blower input (other than to notify others that something fishy is going on).
LG obviously has contempt for the rule of law and is trying to obstruct justice by scaring off these whistle blowers. There is a reason why there is a law protecting whistle blowers.

(8,964 posts)The Whistleblower Protection Act with assurances of confidentiality would be a bit problematic for him to keep this "promise", particularly since the House would never amend it to allow blowing someone's cover. Graham is pushing intimidation here. The IG review of the complaint(s) was deemed credible, and the transcript backs it up. A long-winded Hail Mary pass from the Senate's foremost windbag, INCOMPLETE!
