Was watching "Contact," I know the scenes with Bill Clinton are "controversial"
because his audio and video were used without permission in the movie.
In the filmakers' defense, everything the President says is immediately Public Domain, but maybe using the footage the way they did was not entirely kosher.
The footage was cut to fit the premise of intelligent alien contact with the planet Earth. The original footage was from a press conference Clinton held on the discovery of a meteorite that at the time, was believed to possibly provide evidence of extra-terrestrial life. (That theory has now largely been discredited).
Anyway, it just pained me to remember a President with intellectual curiosity, and a steady, calm, and organized approach to a momentous occasion.
I shudder to think of the way Trump and his gang would handle this kind of discovery. They wouldn't have the first clue what to do.
The qualifications of a President has everything to do with National Security, from alien contact down to just running the everyday business of the country. It will take DECADES to undo the damage of this maladministration.
