on the rear cab window of a pickup truck.
It was a delight to see. I guess the tariffs are hitting Spokanistan and environs very hard...

(58,662 posts)but we have to admit, it might just be a long time Dem who is just coming out of the closet. Sounds good that he has the courage to do it though. Living on the we(s)t side of WA, I'm not so fearful of Trumplodytes. I can't imagine living over there.

(11,686 posts)I am pretty proud of this truck driver. It takes guts to do that. I actually lived in Wall-Walla and even though there were 2 universities and a community college you still were exposed a lot to the "Good Ol" Boys" club mentality.

(24,736 posts)Dems small but mighty in Chelan-Douglas counties. One does have to keep one's head down, in any case, especially so long as one is still working!
That's great to hear, Aristus. All I see are the drumpf support banners around Cle Elum. And bad racist shit that's gone down in Ellensburg (KKK fliers).

(146,317 posts)I have one such pickup truck - a 1996 Ford Ranger. It's very useful, I'm discovering.

(13,042 posts)just kidding, I know there exists a trump supporter who lost his license from too many duis so he can't drive his pickup anymore.

(146,317 posts)They just have too many uses not to have one. I don't put many miles on it, but when i need to haul something, there it is in my driveway, ready to go to work. Otherwise, it gets used when the primary vehicle is off doing something. My Ranger has 277,000+ miles on it. Almost all of them were put on by previous owners. It runs great. Uses no oil. That 4-cylinder Mazda engine and manual transmission are tough. Can't break 'em.

(51,308 posts)It was my dads before he died. Id have to go look to see the year, but it has well over 100,000 miles on it. Fuel gauge is a little wonky, but it runs like a top!
Years ago, I drove a Dodge Ram pickup. Complete with Dem stickers and one of those Darwin fish with the legs on it lol.

(146,317 posts)my Ranger. It has something of an erratic idle, and stalls once in a while when idling. No bit deal, but once those new parts are on that, that'll be fixed. I just got my Ranger last month. Bought it from the widow of the original owner. It ran poorly when I test drove it, but it had been parked for 9 months, and ran better after a mile or two, so I took a chance. A fresh tank of gas and it ran nicely, except for that idle issue, so I ordered the parts, along with a new blower motor resistor so the fan doesn't always run on high.
It needed four new tires, and I bought those. I only have about $1400 invested in the truck now. It has new brakes, a new exhaust system, a new battery, and the previous owner put a new clutch in it not long before he died. It has very little rust and still is shiny Ford red. The guy's wife said that several people had looked at it, but said no because of the manual transmission. Ha! I got it at a reduced price because of that.
I'm happy with it, and expect to have it for years. I had an 86 Ranger many years ago, and it just ran and ran and ran.

(51,308 posts)I recently had to replace the starter, but other than that its been great. (Knock on wood)!
Theyre great vehicles; I heard they were going to start making them again maybe next year. I was so disappointed when looking for a new vehicle last year to find out they had stopped making them.
I bought a Subaru Outback instead though, and I love it. But the Ranger comes in handy for hauling straw bales, chicken feed, fence posts, etc.!

can see him for a traitor to our democracy.
