Trump is amassing so many scandals that it washes out into a blur. And with this, the scandals are turned into constant background-noise, and WITH THIS he can argue that it's a witchhunt.

THIS is how Trump operates: He gets to define reality.



But Ukrainegate is different.

No matter what scandal comes next, this one is not going away. This one is not disappearing into a blur. This scandal is sticking around until it has been resolved one way or the other.

And THAT is Trump's real problem: He has lost the ability to control what the country talks about.



Trump could punch a baby tomorrow and we would still talk about impeachment.

Trump could negotiate peace in Ukraine, denuclearize Iran and denuclearize North Korea tomorrow AND THE NATIONAL DISCUSSION WOULD STILL BE IMPEACHMENT.

Trump the Liar has been pinned down to one version of reality he can no longer alter.
