After launching into a staunch defense of Trump, Johnson told Todd, “You’ve got [former CIA director] John Brennan on, you ought to ask director Brennan, what did Peter Strzok mean when he texted Lisa Page on December 15, 2016, quote—.”

Todd interjected.

“What does this have to do with Ukraine?” Todd said.

“It has everything to do with Ukraine,” Johnson said — then proceeded to give a minute-long answer which didn’t tie the Strzok-Page affair to Ukraine at all.

Todd had little patience for what he was hearing — audibly groaning several times during Johnson’s comments.

“I have no idea why Fox News propaganda stuff is popping up on here,” Todd said. “I have no idea.”

“Senator Johnson, please!” Todd said. “Can we please answer the question that I asked you, instead of trying to make Donald Trump feel better here that you’re not criticizing him?! I’m just trying to ask a simple question of what made you wince?”

The stunning showdown on Meet the Press Sunday between Chuck Todd and Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) absolutely lit up social media — with observers noting that the NBC host was completely furious with his guest.

After Todd name-checked Peter Strzok and Lisa Page in response to a question on President Donald Trump‘s dealings with Ukraine, the Meet the Press moderator lost it.

“I have no idea why Fox News propaganda stuff is popping up on here,” Todd said. “I have no idea.”

He is giving them time to promote their lies. He didn't do a very good job of shouting him down imo. I couldn't watch all of it due to tech problems but what I saw was pathetic. We have been in a national nightmare since the campaign.

I don’t know any of the workings behind the scenes but obviously that could be true. I think some of the people who have their own shows invite guests on or try to though.

for programming purposes/content and probably give him some leeway for editorial control, but they have a whole cadre working that show, most likely headed up by this guy.



He was brought in after they ditched monkey boy Gregory and was later made permanent.

I don’t know who that is😹 have to research it all. Oddly enough I just read an article about David Gregory, because he was on a pbs show I think about his decision to embrace being jewish etc. I don’t remember DG on the show though.

I remember when the show-runners when Gregory was on, insisted on preempting programming on affiliate radio stations to simulcast the show and pump his ugly persona (including nixing a gardening show that I had listened to for decades that ran on 710 WOR).
