That's the one I'm familiar with, but perhaps there's another. It was a good show, and Paul Giamatti and Laura Linney were great on it.

(66,381 posts)3. There are some inaccuracies, but by and large, it's an excellent series.
One thing I thought was interesting was how many characters, notably John Dickenson, spoke in a hard-to-identify accent. It's a reminder that we don't really know how they sounded back then, and that accents change over time.

It gave you a very realistic view of how people lived back then. We are wimps compared to them.
