Democrats are demonstrating that they uphold the rule of law, and exposing Trump’s criminality, abuse of power, and unfitness for the office in the process.

That being said, we don’t know what will be possible by the time we get to the Senate. If enough corruption and incompetence has been exposed, Republicans may be forced to acknowledge it. But I think that’s a very slim possibility.

campaign ads promising to stop "Pelosi and her mob of liberals" from removing Trump.

That doesn't mean they will, of course. I believe that many Senators knew what Trump was up to before the whistle blower complaint got out. But they choose to do nothing. That's going to be a big part of this story. No integrity. No back bone. 2020 is going to be ugly. We better be ready.
