Please explain to me the Ukraine Scandal.

I don't get why doing business with the Ukraine is a bad thing. Is this just a case of Trump exercising his "whataboutism" and attempting to fling shit and hoping that it sticks? Is it Fox News attempting to stir up his base? Or is it something else entirely?

Trump extorted the new Ukraine President to conduct investigations into his political rivals and now he's trying to cover it up. That's a crime and an impeachable offense.

It wouldn't even matter if Hunter Biden was murdering small children for sport.

The president of the united states used his office and the threat of withholding military aid to coerce a foreign government to help him defeat a political rival. That is a corrupt act and an abuse of power. 'Was the target of the operation engaged in bad deeds" is an irrelevant question.

He wants to be able to do anything to anyone at anytime that he wants, so long as he can profit. He got caught and confessed and did it again on live TV and can't understand why there are any consequences to his behavior because he's gotten away with it all his life. He's an ego maniacal bully.

Hunter Biden being on the board of a company that got in some kind of trouble in Ukraine and supposedly Joe Biden intervened somehow with the prosecutor there to convince them not to bring charges.

All the evidence has been debunked but Trump knows that none of his followers are going to read or pay attention to that. He just needs a vague scandal he can wave around to make his opponent look even more corrupt than he obviously is.

...for military and other aid as they try to hold back Russia, which has invaded them with an army. You know? Guns and tanks and stuff?

It was once a US priority to hold the line against the aggression of the Soviet Union in Europe. Border nations are important, especially one with a new and fragile democratic government. We have treaties to that effect -- not that Trump gives a crap about treaties.

So Trump, who is a thug at heart, extorted their new president. Went in with his thugs in business suits and said, "Nice little restaurant ya got here. (Overturns counter) Be a shame if anything happened to it. We can help. I have a favor to ask, though..."

The favor Trump wanted, and still wants, is made-up dirt on Joe and Hunter Biden. Failing that, he will still drag their names through the mud every day in an attempt to ruin them.

Then he will turn his attention to Elizabeth Warren.
