I think to get some exposure as independent minded. Then they probably get summoned to WH and are offered something the boom, they "changed their mind".

The Repugs are saying that will be their chance to put on a real defense.
That would include calling witnesses, and you know Biden, and his son Hunter will be the top of that list.
